I am a healthcare strategist, and the managing partner of Healthcare IT Strategy. I am also the Chief Imaginist of Healthcare Idea Lab. Unlike the philistine approach of traditional consultancies, Healthcare IT Strategy is a place where ideas are born. I am interested in how we will live and function in a world of healthcare that we don’t understand too well. I wrestle with how to turn our lack of information of what the business of healthcare will become, our lack of understanding of the issues, and our general lack of knowledge of the future into decisions we can make today to shape tomorrow.
Our focus is what must we do with the healthcare business model to domesticate the unknown. We react to what has not yet happened, helping health care providers understand how tomorrow’s healthcare business will operate, and position today’s business model to bridge the gap with strategy, HIT, workflow improvement, and change management.
I spearhead Program Management Offices to ride herd over vendors. My focus is transforming healthcare using problem definition and resolution using a range of tools including; IT, strategy and solutions management.

I have been reading your blog along with others. I have found no mention of the OpenEHR, which I consider to be a good EHR specification.
Am I wrong in my assessment?
Would you care to give your opinion on OpenEHR?

First, thank you for reading and making time to comment. I will most certainly offer comment on OpenEHR although it may be a day or two from now. My best – Paul
